The new President is not politically correct, not at all squeamish and doesn't really want the job anyway. He faces an election in weeks but must fight the ongoing attacks while dealing with all the other governmental issues. It's going to be a rough few weeks.

I do not know if this the author's first book, but am assuming it is. I won't bother to find out.

I think he might have had a halfway good story to tell, but the thing was so poorly edited--if it was edited at all--that I found myself just waiting for the next editorial blunder to show up. I never had to wait long.

Yeah, yeah I hear you: you get what you pay for.

The story moved along at an ok clip, but it simply read too much like a bunch of loosely put together paragraphs that jumped around too much, making it difficult to get involved in the story he was trying to tell.

Jihad in America - An interesting take on a terrorist plot

An interesting take on a terrorist plot. I found it refreshing to read an action story not written by an ex seal, ranger, green beret or CIA spook. The team that was assembled mesh well together and consist of an interesting group of characters. The action scenes are short, varied and to the point. The action scenes move around a lot because of the nature of the story following clean up retaliation for the killing of the President and Vice President.There is not a lot of discussion about gear or weapons but enough to allow the reader's imagination to work. The interrogation scenes are pretty gritty but satisfying from our sides viewpoint. Digger the Speaker of the House elevated to President comes across as an interesting character for a Democrat who is good at delegating authority. And then getting the hell out of the way and letting the experts work.

Further editing could help the overall flow of the book but I did not notice an exceptional amount of errors. But that may be from my being in the story flow. Generally if there are a lot of errors, it will drag me out of the flow and I notice them.

If the author is going to continue this book as a series, he may want to expand the back story of the team characters more. And consider a better cover.
