Wished for You: The Blogger Diaries Book One Kindle Edition
Blog Post: 1/17/15
My name is Kayla and I’m a blogger who believes in fairy tales. Through the anonymity of my blog, along with my reviews of the steamy novels I like to read, I tell the stories of my own search for love. No matter how disastrous they turn out—and believe me, you will ask yourself ‘Did that really happen?’—I never gave up, knowing my soul mate was out there somewhere.
When my big brother invited me to move to Houston for a semester of college, I jumped at the opportunity to leave my small hometown to see what it was like to live in a big city. Having no friends and not knowing where to go, I met a guy online and met up with him that night. Because…YOLO, right?
Turns out, he was an okay guy. Not ‘The One’, but still, a good enough guy to spend time with. But then, he introduced me to his best friend Jason, and my world tilted on its axis. The dark, tough, tatted-up guy, who was too broody for his own good, captivated me.
But he made it perfectly clear, I wasn’t his type.
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR:
The Blogger Diaries Trilogy is the true story of how I met, fell for, lost, and got a
second chance at love with my soul mate. The names of everyone EXCEPT me, Jason, my family, and my best friend have been changed to protect their identities. Full of youthful stupidity, leading to bad decisions and lots of angst, it is a real life story, where inevitably things are messy.
No one can look back at their late teens and early twenties and not think of moments that make them ask, What the hell was I thinking? Every second of this trilogy is true, exactly as it happened.
The first book, ‘Wished For You’, is a tale of finding ‘the one’ too early, and then having to let them go.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a true trilogy, meaning the first two books END ON CLIFFHANGERS. But if you take the journey with me, in the end, I promise you a happily ever after you will never forget.
I know I won’t.

USA Today Bestselling Author KD Robichaux wanted to be a romance novelist since the first time she picked up her mom's Sandra Brown books at the ripe old age of twelve. She went to college to become a writer, but then married her very own alpha and had babies. Putting her dream job on hold to raise her family as a stay-at-home mom who read entirely too much, she created a blog where she could keep her family and friends up-to-date on all the hottest reads. From there, by word of mouth, her blog took off and she began using her hard-earned degree as a full-time editor. When her kids started school, and with the encouragement from her many author friends, she finally sat down and started working on her first series, The Blogger Diaries, her own real-life romance. She’s now published more than twenty stories in many different genres of romance.

Okay so now to the review..
this isn’t one of those books that’s a normal rom-com happily ever after.. I won’t say what the other two books are like but just know there is a happy ending for everyone involved.
Kayla writes her real life experience as a love story, and its a very emotional one. It makes you laugh, cry, and be pissed all at the same time. My heart fluttered so many times during this book and it reminded me so much of myself when I met my husband. Kayla is put through some different scenarios and I can relate in many things to Kayla’s insecurities and thoughts.
She was so in love and but she had no idea life had other plans for her. At the end, I just wanted Drive to Texas to hug and console her. This book is amazingly good, I just couldn't stop reading! ! I love how Jason's and Kayla's relationship developed. They were flirty, which reminded me of the beginning of my relationship with my husband. But that ending tore me to pieces. I legit cried.
There is a scene that has some texting and it is one of my favorites. Another one of my favorites is when Jason defends her at the beach! 🥰
If you are reading this review trying to figure out whether to read this book or not, just DO IT! BUY THE BOOK AND READ IT!! This story will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions but You won’t be disappointed. ❤️
This isn't your normal rom-com happily ever after. (it is after finishing the trilogy but THIS book isn't).
Kayla offers her REAL LIFE as a heartwarming love story, and its a very emotional one. The heroine and author is thrown into some heart heavy scenarios and even though I haven't found my own Jason, I could relate in many things to her insecurities and thoughts, there were a lot of times I just kept thinking "that's so me". Kayla is very relatable and the way she wrote this book I'm not sure what hurt more; my cheeks from laughing at her thoughts or my heart from the ending of this book.
She was so in love and then life (or Jason) had other plans for her. At the end, I just wanted to hug and console her. This book is sooo good, I couldn't stop reading, I missed an afternoon class just to keep reading it because I.couldn't.put.it.down! I love how Jason's and Kayla's relationship developed. They were flirty, while she was nervous on the inside but trying to be confident, then he became very protective of her and she was so understanding of him but that ending aghhh! I felt my heart break and explode full of emotions.
The "texting" scene on Jason's bedroom is one of the best scenes I have ever read I re-read it like 4 times and felt literal tummy butterflies, it was just so breathtaking. And, the scene on the beach after Jason rescues her and defends her I felt my heart expand, I'm not joking!
If you are reading this review trying to figure out whether to read this book or not, just DO IT!!!!! This story will take you on what feels a roller coaster of emotions. The "texting" scene on Jason's bedroom is one of the best scenes I have ever read I re-read it like 4 times and felt literal tummy butterflies, it was just so breathtaking.
It took a bit to get into the story but once I was in, I was hooked. The characters are so relatable (duh! they are real people) I could honestly see myself hanging out with them. There was no crazy over the top story, just true life. Real things, people sometimes suck, strangers become your close circle of friends, sometimes life is boring, your first love usually does break your heart, for some reason we fall for the #sshole all of that stuff made this book an easy enjoyable read for me.
That ending though! Seriously wanted to throat punch our "hero". Can't wait to read the rest of Kaylas real life romance story.
