William Watts has been a great cook ever since he was a small child. His early cooking experience comes from spending summer vacations with his grandfather where he discovered his lifelong passion for cooking.
His passion continued as he joined the topmost cooking school and come to be one of the most celebrated chefs in London. This is where he met his lovely wife and decided to leave his high-paying job and open his own restaurant. They are proud parents of two boys and a baby sister.
These days William enjoys his passion even more and shares the best of his recipes through his books.
On his free time, William enjoys investing time with his beautiful wife and their three children going on family vacations, surfing, hiking, reading, snowboarding and of course - cooking.

Is it time to lose weight, get healthy, and give your family the best possible nutrition? If so, Mediterranean Diet For Beginners is the book you’ve been waiting for. People have been eating it for centuries and because of it, they live happier and longer lives. Mediterranean diet represents a healthy lifestyle choice! It is useful for people wishing to lose weight as it is rich in fruit and vegetables and lower in sugars and saturated fats than a typical Western diet. It can reduce the risk of a premature death and increase the chance of a healthy retirement, free from long-term medication. Don’t wait another minute to start because it's all about eating well and enjoying life.
What did I like? I can see where this type of diet would be so much healthier than the typical diet most of the people in the United States use. We have changed so much over the years and it shows in what and how we eat due to the lifestyle changes and being on the go that fast food has taken over. I was guilty of the same diet until I looked at myself in the mirror and did not like what I saw. Not saying I am a skinny person today but I can say with all confidence that I am much healthier. Unfortunate for me I have IBS and there are so many things that I cannot eat but I have modified many recipes to fit my needs and have lost almost 50 pounds. After reviewing this cookbook, I see that many of the ways that I have changed my cooking habits run along the same lines as this but I also saw that there are so many ways more that I can enhance the way that I eat and my cooking methods. I was very impressed with the variety of the food and the ways to incorporate it into my lifestyle. As many of you know I am not an experienced cook and I am learning, thankfully the correct ways of eating. It most certainly shows in the way that I feel and the energy levels that I have and I am sure this type of cooking will not only be healthy for me but will help (hopefully) me to lose more weight.
What are you going to like? A cookbook that is easy to read and shows all the steps that you need to prepare the food. But more than that you will be able to understand the concept of eating for healthier reasons and the benefits you can reap from this type of eating. William has laid it out in a step by step method and it is easy. Food that is delicious, healthy and looks great. For people with IBS problems it is easy to modify many of the recipes to eliminate what we can’t eat, there are so many ways to prepare the foods left in our diets that will be close. I highly recommend this way of eating and I am proof that it does work. I received this from the author for honest review with no other compensation.
The food looks absolutely yummy, and one glance at the recipe reassured me that I could replicate it. The recipes are well explained.
This cookbook is so much more than a cookbook, it is a wealth of knowledge which will no doubt help a lot of people but especially those that are just beginning out on this journey. It explains very clearly the science behind this way of eating and also has a meal plan which will especially be of great help to those of us that occasionally get overwhelmed.
When this cookbook arrived, my husband rolled his eyes at me and asked: "...another cookbook?". He then picked it up to skim through and almost immediately said: "oooh, we must try this Chicken and Pepper Fajitas!". For the record, this is my very first Mediterranean diet specific book and I am in love with it so much that I came back online and ordered the Kindle version for my best friend. Well done...absolutely well done!

The meal plan is very do-able... the recipes all use easily found ingredients, and the prep steps are not complicated or time consuming. I especially like the breakfast recipes.
None of the recipes come with calorie counts or nutritional information, presumably because the diet doesn't focus on calorie counting, but rather, on eating in a healthful, balanced way using foods from the Med region.
