Review

I read your book with my younger sibling and she loves it! She interacted with it all the way through and loved the drawings. We read it about 5 times before putting her to bed last night. Thank you. ReviewThe idea of Gator Goes by Bike is actually really clever.
We see the wild animals commuting to work. To go there, they all use different means of transport. Monkey goes by car, giraffe has a chauffeur and travels in a limousine (which makes sense, because the long neck can stick out of the rooftop), pig flies his own plane, bear is a biker and we see him riding his motorcycle, the penguin walks (of course, he has to, as penguins can't fly), hippo takes the water taxi and much more.
When they all reach their final destination, we see them changing into their uniforms in the locker room and off they are to a hard days work, at ..... Well, where do they work? It's a cheerful surprise and suddenly it all makes sense. Every time I was there for a visit, I DID wonder how they got there and somehow I always expected it to be like this.

There isn't a lot of text in the book, just short sentences. Often it's one or two words per page, which makes the book very suitable for early readers. The artwork is very beautiful and I found the style in which the various animals are depicted quite unique.

The book offers an excellent opportunity to discuss with children, what it means to have to commute to work, or to go to school by bus each day and the advantages and disadvantages of the various options for commuting (ie: environmentally friendly, faster, more cost effective, etc.).

My son absolutely loved it, as all the different vehicles were right up his street.

Beautiful picture book, with a clever and cheerful surprise at the end which kids will love. Recommended.
ReviewI give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. The cute, realistic ending wraps up the story nicely and young children would be able to follow the flow of events easily. I would recommend this fun book for children ages five and under, grandparents who keep picture books for family visits, and teachers who use short books for storytime and to teach children to read. It would make a nice addition to any young child's book collection.

This book is sooooo adorable. At the time of purchase I did not know where the animals went to work, but once I finished the book I found it super charming and fun. Illustrations are wonderful and it is fun to read to my little one and talk about the different animals. She seems to be really entertained by the book (not just mommy haha).

I received an advance reader copy of "Gator Goes by Bike" for review.

First off, the illustrations are outstanding! Love, love, love the beautifully crafted animals and their settings. I would give five stars for the illustrations, but three stars for the story itself. I love the concept of the animals getting to work in different ways, but the narration isn't especially creative or unique. A touch of alliteration could have made for an outstanding and hilarious twist (Ex. Zebra goes by zeppelin.) Also, the title of the book is Gator goes by bike, but then gator does not actually appear in the book.

The ending was cute and the overall concept is excellent, but the execution left me a bit disappointed. Again, outstanding illustrations, and I look forward to future illustrated works from Keenan Hopson.

Children will likely be delighted with the illustrations, and that will keep them engaged, even if the story doesn't. Worth a read but not a 5-star story.

The illustrations in this book were unique, colorful, and playful. The ending was very clever and funny. This would be a great gift for kids who like zoo animals and various forms of transportation (so pretty much every kid 😄).

This book made no sense. First of all the word "employee" was a pretty big word for a picture book. Worker would be more understandable. Then the animals go from being anthropomorphic to real. The end. They "put on" their "uniforms", but they didn't... they took off their clothes. Very young children will be confused with "taking off" being "putting on"; even with an adult explanation. Their brains don't process those things yet. There was no point to this story.

I loved how the animals wore the appropriate clothing for their means of transportation. My Favorite was the hippo wearing the flotation device. It was so funny because of the irony. My kids loved it as much as I did.

I thought the animals lived at work —- snows ya what I know. I wonder what my granddaughter will think. I’ll see what she responds to my thoughts that they are contributing to global warming
