When baking, children have many learning experiences and parents many teaching opportunities which remain forever embedded in their minds.
A baking experience starts with a discussion. It is followed by commitment to what, where and when it will be baked. The ingredients need to be bought, so a shopping expedition is planned.
Security and how to prevent any danger in the kitchen are part of this learning experience. Awareness of the possibilities is the main objective.
Teamwork is very important, which smaller children find difficult but gets better as they grow older. This bonding process allows children an opportunity to relax and discuss things which would not freely have been revealed.
Reading and understanding the recipe improves comprehension. An understanding of various foods and where they come from can also be addressed.
Sorting and measuring quantities before baking as well as learning to count, add, subtract and divide are all parts of the process. The children are curious and always asking why questions to every step of the process. Once the cookies or cake are in the oven the metamorphosis is also an eye opener.
Cleaning up when the bakes are in the oven is also needed. The best part is licking the bowl or the spoon, instant gratification. Anticipation heightens as the real stuff is soon coming out of the oven.
Finally the delicious bake is out of the oven and all the senses are on full alert. The excitement and enjoyment of seeing the self-made creation is worth a photo as the memory lasts forever.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
