There are three methods I often use to write a novel or short story. The most common of these methods is where I outline a plot in my mind and then work the plot over in my mind until I come up with the complete story. Another method involves developing one or more characters and then the plot evolves based on these characters. A third method involves constructing a story from a simple title, which is how I wrote On the Wings of Thing. The title came to mind and then I developed the plot and characters from there to write the story. Some fact is stranger than fiction. I hope you enjoy reading On the Wings of Thing as much as I enjoyed writing it.

A.J. Parti was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of two immigrants who originally met in war torn England. Blended between the ideals, virtues, and prejudices of the Mediterranean and Empire worlds, he grew up in America.

Through a long career of advocacy and argumentation in education, law, non-profit organizations, and the business world, A.J. has met some of the best people as well as some of the worst people. He has been revered and reviled, highlighted and dismissed, and is now at peace with himself with his recollections. From these recollections, together with the active and at times humorous sporting life he has led, A.J. has turned to capturing all of his experiences in the characters and stories that he writes.

Since the boundaries of life are almost limitless, his novels and short stories are likewise from many different genres. A slow start but only because some editing in the beginning was lacking. It was sometimes hard to follow, but finally gripped me. I was in for the entire rest of the story. I could see this as a movie or mini series. Very entertaining!

It has an interesting plot that builds nicely throughout the book, and by the end I could not put it down. The story combines action, mystery and even some comedy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a fast-paced and humorous adventure. The writing, per se, needs some editing, but you can easily read this as a screen-play, with wonderfully-named characters and dialogue that makes you laugh. Heck, the table of chapter headings alone is worth the price of the book. Have fun with it!
