Gemma Perfect loves to write. She’s been doing it since she was nine. After a few false starts – self publishing children’s books, and having her romance novella published by Harper Collins, she found her happy place writing young adult fantasy books.

I read Gemma's first series and loved it. This was another great first book to what I hope is many more. My one and only critique is based on my own phobia. There was quite a bit of mention of vomiting. Granted the character was going through a lot but it got to be a bit much. Other than that small detail it was 5 stars from me!

Who messed up the circle? What happened to Macaroon? Was Molly/her family supernatural or was that just speculation on my part?

Two teenage witches, one a witch by accident "fight the good fight" better than their parents whether by accident or by Ellis's acquired knowledge. Against the other magical creatures, they win a temporary victory just as the book ends. What will the sequel bring us? A very good read!

'The Accidental Witch' was one of those books I really, really wanted to love. The over all premise was intriguing and could have really been awesome. But, the characters were a bit boring. Ellis didn't fully develop until close to the end. I get that she went through a ton of change happening around her, but her mind set didn't really progress. I will read more of this series. In my opinion, don't let this review dissuade you from reading it. You may love it.

My only issue is Ellis is too whiney at times and cries so much it's almost unreal. Teenager or not she seems to be too emotional to be able to deal with all this new stuff of witchcraft, shifters , fairies and vampires. I feel she is too immature for this whole story. Hopefully she grows up more in the next books.

This is book number one in this start to a brand new series writen by a brand new author for me to read and I can not wait to read book number two in this wonderful series writen by a wonderful author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romances.

I love the author's other books, The Kingmaker series and when I heard she had another series out, I had to take a look. It is a brilliant young adult book, intrigue set in for me from chapter 1. I love it when I get hooked from the off. A teenager going through a rough time, literally becomes a witch by accident. Enter the rollercoaster of adventure. And all set near my home town in South Wales!!! I loved this surprise as I have been to the places mentioned in the book (seriously South Wales has such beautiful places to visit). Immediately went and got the rest of the series before I had even finished the book.

I picked this up because the cover and the blurb intrigued me, and I was not disappointed. Ellis has had a hard year, and Fletcher's year hasn't been much better. The story was fast paced, and went from the every day to the death defying in moments, I read it all in one night because I was desperate to know what happened next. Overall, I just felt like the ending was a little rushed, but otherwise I loved it completely, and can't wait for the next one in the series. Lovers of paranormal romance should definitely check it out!
